Fuss-free cocktails, catered small bites and fine friends is the perfect recipe for a completely relaxing girls night at home. I’d not yet heard of Palm Bay Spritz before they offered me to host a cocktail party at home with five friends. I was looking forward to trying the vodka-based drinks and decided what better occasion than to invite my beautiful co-zurbaines!
Last Thursday, two handsome Palm Bay boys showed up at my door with a tub full of Palm Bay Spritz on ice and a party package. Included was everything we needed to have a perfect girly happy hour: a giant balloon, a Polaroid camera, a cordless speaker and a playlist, bags of candies, macarons, selfie accessories, cocktail glasses and napkins. All that we needed to add were some small bites and we were all set for a perfect night on my terrace.
I loved that the Palm Bay Spritz drinks are vodka-based cocktails with summery ingredients – all ready to be poured into a glass and enjoyed. I didn’t need to wear my mixologist’s hat for our get-together which allowed me to just sit back and enjoy my time with my guests.
The girls and I tried three flavours : Key Lime Cherry, Strawberry Pineapple and Ocean Peach Pomelo. Our favourite was the latter which was light and refreshing with the not-too-sweet taste of fresh peaches.
Since I wanted to treat the girls to more than just cocktails, I ordered a variety of summery appetizers from Miss Prêt à Manger. I had recently discovered chef Kim’s light bites at Balnéa’s Été des chefs and asked her to create a mix of hors d’oeuvres to go with the different types of Palm Bay Spritz cocktails. It was such a treat to just serve the lovingly-prepared appetizers and not have to slave in preparing them myself! Since the drinks and food were taken care of, I had more time to just make my terrace fun and inviting.
To top off our soirée – I had set up a sweet station with the candy and macarons from Palm Bay Spritz and a few that I had picked up earlier. I also found some zurbaines-coloured goody bags so each guest left with a treat bag.
Next time you’re stressing out about hosting a girl’s night – think of something as simple as Palm Bay Spritz and order in!
