I love a romantic look and when I spotted this Marchesa Notte dress at hr2 on a work-related trip, I kept thinking about it. Finally, I convinced my guy to make a trip to the store with me to get a second opinion. He loved it too and since we had a wedding to attend on Labour Day weekend, I felt justified in paying the $200 it was marked down to. The original price, when I searched online, was about $1200. I love NOT paying full price for fashion! Although I bought it to debut at a wedding in the Old Port, I can see this dress making many reappearances for afternoon tea parties or next spring’s garden parties. The embroidered tulle flowers are stitched onto a blush mesh which almost gives the impression of intricate tattoos when it’s worn.

Miu Miu sunglasses purchased at Holt Renfrew. BIRKS Rock & Pearl earrings: a gift from BIRKS. These are my absolute favourite earrings which I wear almost every day! I get so many compliments on them, but the biggest compliment is that my best friend had her guy buy them for her for her birthday. Not only that, she also purchased them for her Ex’s mother because she finally got him to move out of the apartment right next to my BFF. Who said diamond’s are a girl’s best friend? I vote for pearls!
Alexander Wang clutch purchased at Holt Renfrew. Opaline glass ring from West Germany purchased at the Brooklyn Flea Market (a gift from my guy).
Tory Burch heels purchased at Holt Renfrew. I have a dragonfly fetish, so I had to have these!
Many thanks to BIRKS for always introducing me to their latest and timeless jewellery collections! A big thank you to Mathieu of M de Latour Hair for my stylish cut. Last, but not least, shout out to the gals at S Ø S K E N Studios for the stylish trench. Look for my next fashion feature which will showcase coats from the FW16 collection.
