Tonight marks the 10th anniversary of the Darling Foundry, a contemporary art centre in a former foundry which houses an art gallery, artist studios and apartments, and my favourite food space in all of Montreal – Cluny Art Bar. The evening starts at 6 p.m. with a fundraising event (one needs to purchase a ticket here) for art patrons and continues for all art lovers (FREE!) at 8:30 p.m. with access to the two current exhibits and to the artists and artist-in-residence studios, plus a street party with performance artists and renowned DJ’s like Lynne T and DJ Champion. What better reason to shake your booty than for the love of art?
Make sure to visit Cluny Art Bar as well to enjoy a glass of wine while perusing the exhibit entitled Passeport. After ten years, the owners of Cluny are saying au revoir to the Foundry, so tonight and Friday will be your last chance to grab a bite and a drink in their incredible space.
