I’ve been a fan of fine linens for some time, but it’s only really been since we bought our home that I’ve even begun to think about swapping out crisp whites, soft off-whites and cream-coloured tones for something much warmer and richer. When I discovered Montreal’s Maison Tess I knew that one day, I would take the leap to less fussy but not less-luxury linens.
Recently, I reached out to the sisters behind the brand to see if they would like to help elevate my bedroom and turn my two single beds into one King-size, fall-into-dreamland-kind-of bed.
I was curious to see how it would work if we were to take one King-size fitted sheet and fit it over my twin mattresses and then cover it all up with a King-size top sheet and duvet cover. As you can see, it worked marvellously! The ultimate test was to sleep “à deux” to find out if we really tapped into something revolutionary. Aside from having my guy claim that I steal most of the duvet during the night, the transformation literally brought us closer together.
What really impressed me is how luxe the earthy Terrarosa duvet cover looks over the rich gold-tone of the Amber sheets and pillowcases. Not only do they look absolutely gorgeous, they are made from premium cotton and pure flax linen and woven by a fourth-generation family-owned mill in Portugal. Investing in good quality and ethically-sourced bedlinens will give anyone a good night’s sleep!
