This weekend and next, the restaurant Le Richmond is hosting their annual gourmet Christmas brunch. On the menu: Northern-Italy inspired dishes, festive décor and a photo with Santa!
If you haven’t been, you should make your reservations asap because this is a popular epicurean activity. You’ll love the leisurely four-course brunch starting with a decadent velouté of foie gras, chestnuts and mushrooms, followed by an array of shared primi including roast peppers stuffed with eggplant caviar. For the mains, Le Richmond offers four distinct dishes including seafood and vegetarian options. For the traditionalists, opt for the turkey with an Italian twist: Le Richmond stuffs theirs with prosciutto and beef and serves it with a fig sauce.
The elaborate holiday brunch is only $45 for adults, $15 for kids under 10 and $20 for pre-teens and teens (11-15). Make it a fun boozy brunch with bottomless mimosas (add $30 per person)!
After brunch, head to the heated courtyard for a souvenir photo with Santa. Since you’re in the holiday spirit, pop into the Marché Italien next door to do a little Christmas shopping. I recently stocked up on their great home décor and kitchen items, Panettone, cheese and chocolate and Le Richmond’s house-cultivated honey. If cooking is not your thing, let Le Richmond cater your entire Christmas dinner. See the holiday catering menu here.
Le Richmond’s gourmet sugar shack brunch is already a favourite tradition of mine, so it’s only natural to make its Christmas Brunch my next ritual.
One more thing… be sure to arrive with a healthy appetite!
