Each March, I look forward to Maddy K‘s Bridal Boudoir – a very chic wedding salon that’s unlike any other. Not only that, I also always look forward to Maddy’s media preview that she hosts prior to the Bridal Boudoir Affair each year. This year it was held at the WHITE boutique in Old Montreal. It was the perfect opportunity to discover this beautiful bridal boutique and try on a bridal gown or two, even if one was not planning on getting married anytime soon. But, let me take you back to last year’s Bridal Boudoir media event which was even more fabulous. It started with a cocktail reception at a luxury penthouse in the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Residences and then we were whisked off to the 40 Westt Steakhouse in a limousine for a very glam wedding-worthy dinner. Here are a few photo souvenirs from that evening and read on to the end to find out what’s in store THIS SUNDAY at the 2016 Bridal Boudoir Affair.
We were greeted at the swanky two-story penthouse in the Ritz-Carlton Residences with pink bubbly, a pianist and a display of lovely gowns and jewels. It was there that I discovered the gorgeous couture gowns by Montreal designer, Antoinette Di Carlo and the glam jewellery by another local Girl Boss, Katherine Karambelas. I wore my favourite floral Dolce & Gabbana dress to the event (shown above and as featured in Fashion magazine). Following the cocktail, we were chauffeured out to the West Island to the 40 Westt Steakhouse.
Once at the restaurant, we were greeted with more pink bubbly served by a model in an elaborate birdcage dress and when we saw the private dining room, we were truly wowed – the flowers that cascaded off the table were designed by the very talented florist, Charlotte Lefebvre and the table settings showcased ornate silverware by Christofle. The dinner was exquisite and we were entertained by the Christofle rep who shared the principals of dining etiquette. The entire evening was conceived by Maddy K, the ultimate wedding planner. If you have a wedding coming up and you have a budget for a wedding planner, I seriously suggest you hand over your wedding planning to this wonder woman!
This year’s Bridal Boudoir is taking place on Sunday, March 13th.
