For five years now, I’ve been invited to a taste of the best wedding expo in town. Event and wedding planner powerhouse, Maddy K organizes a media dinner each year to give a glimpse of her big event, the Bridal Boudoir Affair, Montreal’s avant-garde bridal show. Not just for brides, The Bridal Boudoir is THE place to find the best ideas to host any type of event. On Sunday, February 26th (yes, it’s the day of the Oscars – but it’s just as chic, I promise), it takes place at the Hyatt. I suggest you go with your best friend to take in all that the exhibit has to offer. This year, the theme is Rosé – everything girly! When I go, I head to the bar to try the latest in craft cocktails, then I check out (sample the wares of) the various caterers, sweet tables and fabulous wedding cakes. After that, I peruse the array of gorgeous evening and wedding dresses. I also stop to meet some of Montreal’s top photographers, wedding planners, invitation designers, florists and finally, I grab a seat to check out the fashion show. On the catwalk you’ll see everything from lingerie, to evening gowns and of course, wedding dresses.
The Bridal Boudoir is like a great big gathering of all things stylish. What better way to collect ideas for your next party or sit-down dinner?
