Friends don’t let friends leave the house wearing something that doesn’t suit them – this certainly rings true for my friend Lolitta Dandoy who launched the online version of her walk-in closet last week. Lolitta’s career as a fashion writer consequently turned her into a style consultant for her family and friends. This altruistic passion for fashion has led her to share her most coveted collection of garments and accessories amassed over the years with all of us. Fashion lovers can now browse Lolitta’s virtual closet for unique statement pieces that catch their fancy and enhance their personal wardrobe.
To celebrate the launch of MyWalk.in, Lolitta invited six fashion and lifestyle personalities to her actual walk-in to choose an outfit to wear to the launch cocktail. Lolitta helped each of us choose our outfits based on our personality, measurements and tastes. For me she chose an elegant designer evening gown that she had found at a sample sale in NYC. Knowing that I love anything that looks like it came straight from the 1920’s, Lolitta couldn’t have chosen a more perfect dress! I fell in love with it instantly and compliments from friends and complete strangers confirmed that it was meant for me. The dress has a new home now, in MY closet!
Many of Lolitta’s treasures are already online, but a wide variety of frocks, shoes, hats and more are still hanging out in her walk-in.
