Five UK brands to gift the guys in your life

Treat your significant other, your father, brother, or lover šŸ˜ to a Fatherā€™s Day gift thatā€™s fit for a British dandy. Below are five classy brands from the UK that would make his day.

Bulldog Skincare

ā€œManā€™s best friend,ā€ this skincare line has something for every type of skin. Started in the UK in 2005 and available in Canada since 2018, the brand prides itself on creating affordable, effective and sustainable skincare for men. No artificial colours or synthetic fragrances are used and the majority of their products are made in the UK. The razor handles are made from natural bamboo or recycled glass (shown here). Even their packaging is environmentally friendly. The plastic tubes are made with sugarcane plastic and the paper packaging is made from recycled stock and printed with environmentally friendly inks. Available at most major pharmacies. bulldogskincare.com

Barbour

The quintessential British wet-weather jacket are these waxed-cotton jackets worn by generations of Brits. Originally designed for the very wet British countryside clime, now everyone in the UK seems to own one! If Prince Charles and Prince William rock theirs, then why shouldnā€™t the favourite men in your life? I recently received one from White Horse, the stylish country-chic boutique in Magog, but I think itā€™s time my guy had one too! Available at White Horse, Altitude Sports and SSENSE

Penhaligonā€™s

British perfumers since 1870, this London-based brand will have a scent to perfectly suit your loved one. I discovered the line while shopping at Etiket, the luxe skincare boutique near our home in the heart of Montreal. For my guy, I like a heady eau de parfum better than an eau de toilette and this is the fragrance Iā€™d choose for him.

Lagavulin

My father, brother and partner all enjoy a good glass of Scotch, but one of their favourite brands by far is Lagavulin. The distillery was founded in 1816 and is located on the remote Isle of Islay. Itā€™s far too smoky for my taste, but who am I to judge! Give the guys what they want, I say.

Glencairn Original Whisky Glass

Montrealā€™s Alambika is my go-to for anything cocktail related. They have an incredible selection of high-end barware, stemware and accessories. If youā€™re gifting the aforementioned Scotch, why not include a pair of these crystal tasting glasses from Glencairn Crystal, the UKā€™s leading supplier of decorated crystal? Thatā€™s class, in a glass!

Available at Alambika for $10.95 or as a set of two.

Happy Fatherā€™s Day!Ā
