Only my friend, Jenn (Editor of Diary of a Social Gal) could get me to say YES to a project of such epic proportions while I was still nursing a broken leg. Not only did she convince and trust me to dust off my professional photographer’s hat, but she also encouraged me to step both behind and in front of the lens for this assignment. Her idea? To gather some of Montreal’s most fashionable and influential women and their furry companions to celebrate and honour their impeccable style and their pets’ steadfastness throughout the events (or, more accurately, the lack thereof) of the past two and a half years. And in true Jennifer Campbell fabulous over-the-top-ness, she secured the most glam venue, florist, fashions, hair and makeup stylists as well as plenty of champagne and sweet treats. The result is an ultra-glam Vogue-like four-page spread in the 10th edition of Jenn’s glossy print magazine which just launched last week. Read on for all the details…

The party was held at Maison Principale, a grand and elegant event space in a former church. Some of you may remember it as the former home to Montreal’s prestigious auction house, Iegor. We started the day in Le Mignon, the adjoining presbytery, where Charlotte Marie Flannery and her team of hair and makeup stylists (Dawn Briand, Cristina Insalaco, Taylr Kenny and Janet Persaud) gave us the glam treatment.

I could not have gotten through the pandemic, or the recovery from breaking my leg recently without Dapper! From Jenn’s magazine: Elegant lifestyle expert who lives in a miniature carriage-house castle with her equally miniature schnauzer, Dapper. I’m wearing a GIVENCHY gown that Jennifer hand-picked for me at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy and Dapper is simply dashing (yes, I’m gushing) in his beige turtleneck and pink bow tie, both from Chien Mondain (gifted).
