A Fall Table Setting With Items From Mezari Atelier

It’s Thanksgiving weekend and I sit at my kitchen table writing this after devouring a piece of apple pie I made last night to take to my friend’s home for our traditional “chosen family” Thanksgiving dinner. (Sorry friends, I couldn’t resist!) Thanksgiving and fall florals are the inspiration for this layered table decor.

The last table setting I shared with you was for Easter weekend (I actually shared two different settings because of the circumstances, I had so much more time on my hands). For this setting, I once again enlisted the help of my talented friend, Stephanie of Mezari Atelier & Boutique. You may recall, we did a spring decor makeover to our living room two years ago, as well as the wallpaper makeover of our powder room with Stephanie’s custom-designed wallpaper.

Stephanie designs, hand-prints and sells home decor items online and at her atelier-boutique on Duluth street in Montreal. For this tablescape, we layered two different colour ways of her custom “Misbehaving Fruits” table cloths and paired them with her “Snip Floral” napkins. The “Magnolia” turquoise plates and little jar are by Meg Does Pottery, a fun and rebellious potter based in Winnipeg who uses a riot of colours. Stephanie recently added Meg’s pottery to her boutique and this particular colour scheme is exclusive to Mezari.

The floral centrepiece was designed by Marc Sardi, a local sustainable florist. I’ve been admiring Marc’s work for about a year now and I am just amazed at what he creates using seasonal, locally-sourced, homegrown or foraged flowers and foliage.

The glass candleholders and dripless tapers are also from Mezari Atelier & Boutique and are by Vancouver artist Camilia. The silver ice bucket, used here as a vase, as well as the crystal glasses are antiques I found at estate sales. The ceramic plates used as chargers were found at an antique flea market and the brass cutlery is vintage.

May your Thanksgiving weekend be filled with beauty and gratitude and may you be surrounded by family and friends!
