Tomorrow I’ll be watching the Oscars, but first and foremost, I’ll be watching the red carpet to see what the actors are wearing. I had my own red-carpet moment recently when I was invited to select a couple of gowns to feature on my blog and social media. Arti Gogna is a young designer from Montreal that I discovered several years ago at Boutique 1861 on Saint Catherine Street. Back then, she designed more ready-to-wear dresses which had a very 50s or 60s vibe. Today, she’s still designing dresses for every day, but her forte lies in evening gowns for any special occasion. I chose two very different gowns that I could wear to either a gala or a more laid-back celebration. Let me know which is your favourite! I feel like Elsa from Frozen in the Victoria gown. Shop this look here: Victoria Gown $219The Saje gown is made from a super-comfy jersey knit. So comfy, that I just wore it at home to receive guests! Shop the gown here: Saje gown, $229
Arti Gogna‘s gowns and dresses are available online, at her show room in Ville Saint-Laurent, and at Boutique 1861 (online here and on Boulevard Saint-Laurent). Arti is also available to create custom gowns for your next big event. Check out her website for more info: www.artigogna.com
