In early February, cult jeans brand, G-Star RAW opened its first Montreal store at Carrefour Laval. G-Star RAW has been making denim apparel since 1989 when it was founded in Amsterdam. Last year, Pharrell Williams became part owner and is now involved in the creation of the company’s latest collections. To launch the Montreal flagship, G-Star RAW invited Montreal street artist Whatisadam (WIA) to print one of his four designs on the back of a denim jacket that is composed of a fibre made from recycled plastic waste found in the oceans. He then further customized each jacket with spray paint and fabric markers. I chose the can of maple syrup. Now I really feel Canadian when I wear it!

Dapper, looking like a Canuk pup in his Roots Canada lumberjack shirt. In honour of National Flag Day, I am proudly wearing my Olympic mitts from The Bay
