Where to shop for Christmas in Montreal

Ho ho ho! Where do you go to find the perfect present for a special someone? These are my go-to spots for made-in-Montreal gifts, holiday greeting cards or that unique item that will do just perfectly for the hardest person to buy for on my list. Here are three ideas…

Ogilvy
Ogilvy en Fête

Nov 18th, 7-10pm
6 floors of shopping, a celebrity fashion show, cocktails, appetizers, desserts, prizes and men in kilts! This is where I buy my Christmas cards and other gifts in the gourmet pop-up shop that is only there during the holiday season. It’s much more fun to shop when it’s for a good cause (a percentage of the proceeds goes to the CHU Ste-Justine Foundation) and with a glass of wine in hand. For tickets, click here.
EightySeventhST
What I’ll be stocking up on: this year’s greeting cards by Eighty Seventh Street.

Souk at SAT
Souk @ SAT
Nov 25-29, 2015

Now in its 12th edition, the Souk @ sat is my favourite market of the year. Carefully curated by founder Azamit, this is the shopping event I especially look forward to. Modern, minimalist and oh-so-Montreal, the Souk is the place to discover the crème-de-la-crème of local talent.
Bigarade Montreal
These lavender sachets by Bigarade are on top of my SOUK list!

Marche Casse-Noisette 2015
The Nutcracker Market
Nov 26 – Dec 6, 2015
The Nutcraker Market provides fuel for the Nutcracker Fund for Children – which allows children from underprivileged neighbourhoods attend educational workshops and a performance of the Nutcracker. Shop handmade and local gourmet gifts, jewellery and decor items (like these gorgeous STORICA hand-stamped gingerbread cookies) while knowing that 10% of all sales go to the foundation and helping 2800 Montreal children have a memorable Christmas.
