Although I’ve just returned from a long European vacation, the cutting cold has already got me fantasizing about my next trip. My next major getaway will be to Florida this spring, but I really wish it were RIGHT NOW! To keep my spirits up, I’ve started putting together my wardrobe for the orange state. My most prized piece in my suitcase will be my new bathing suit. Where did I find it? I recently discovered SHAN swimwear at a preview of their spring-summer collection at the Crescent street boutique. I had no idea that this swimwear success story was created by a talented Montreal designer, Chantal Levesque, 28 years ago and that the entire collection is made right here (well, in Laval)! Not only that, the suits, bikinis and cover-ups are all absolutely runway-worthy. No wonder her collections are sold at Harrods and Saks Fifth Avenue. Ladies, we have a real bathing suit beauty to be proud of.
The entire 2013 spring-summer collection is glamorous, refined and elegant. Chantal’s unique prints and designs are really what make her suits stand out. When I tried on this one, I was instantly sold on how well it fit and how great it looked. Even though I’m not model-material, somehow the suit instantly made me feel like Bo Derek in the movie 10 (and less like her co-star, Julie Andrews).
Most of the collections’ prints are available in different bikini styles, as one-pieces and even as cover-ups and dresses. So if any of you are thinking of heading somewhere south soon, I suggest you snowbirds head to SHAN first!
