(English) Passeport: An exhibit at Cluny Art Bar

77 paintings make up the new art exhibit entitled Passeport at my favourite place to have lunch or coffee in the Old Port – Cluny Art Bar. Open since 2002, Cluny is closing its doors after 10 years of providing the best lattes, panini, antipasti and chocolate pots in a breathtaking industrial setting. Owners Rob Hack and Patrick Meausette have decided to focus on their first love, Titanic – their other restaurant in the Old Port, but not before going out with a really big show. Patrick decided to curate an exhibit featuring local artist, Edith Dora Rey’s paintings. Edith collected vintage and contemporary passport photos from her and Patrick’s friends and then painted their likeness onto wood. The exhibition opened on Tuesday and runs until June 15th, so in the next two weeks, Montrealers should head to Cluny to enjoy a last lunch while admiring Edith’s passport portraits. While you sip your cappuccino, you may recognize a familiar zurbaine in the line-up!
