Nespresso Creatista Plus

Make like a barista

I recently received the new Nespresso machine called the Creatista Plus to test at home. Designed in collaboration with Breville, it allows you to make latte and cappuccino art (almost) like a pro thanks to its high-tech integrated milk steamer. I love the sleek look of the machine and that it doesn’t take up much counter space. The best part about it is that it steams milk to the perfect temperature and creates a nice thick foam, just like in your favourite fine coffee shops. It’s also super easy to use. The digital screen and dial allows you to scroll through all the different coffee settings to select the coffee of your choice.
I’ve been using the Creatista for almost a week. It makes the perfect latte, espresso macchiato or cappuccino. The machine is so straightforward that I literally took it out of the box, filled up the water container and plugged it in and started making my first coffee. The Creatista uses the OriginaLine capsules – I mostly stuck with Arpeggio and Ristretto because they make great espresso – and then I would add the steamed milk to make a latte or cappuccino. I found that I had the best tasting coffee by adding a second shot of espresso before adding the milk. Even my boyfriend loves my new latte talents!

I also tried my hand at latte art after watching endless tutorials on YouTube, but I still haven’t mastered the heart, rosetta or tulip. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun trying!
The Creatista Plus is a high-end coffee machine at $799, but if you’re a fan of fine coffee, then this could be the perfect investment for you. Who wouldn’t love to impress their guests with their personal favourite type of coffee?
To honour the holidays and my love for Nespresso, I would love for one of you to adopt a new Nespresso machine! Nespresso has graciously offered one of their entry-level Pixie machines for one lucky reader. To be eligible to win, leave a comment below on why you would like to try the Pixie. I will randomly choose a winner on New Year’s Day. (*Note: The winner must be able to pick up the prize from downtown Montreal)

Good luck!
