Last week, Ristorante Beatrice launched its garden-to-table lunch menu. For only $25, you can enjoy a 3-course market-fresh meal in a stunning setting. If you haven’t been to their gorgeous terrace, then you really must go before the end of summer!
I was excited to try it since I just moved into the neighbourhood. The tables were set for the media tasting with gorgeous flowers from neighbouring florist, Alain Simon. I had run into his shop recently on my way to a dinner in Westmount and said, “I only have $20 on me, what can you do?” Alain made me the most gorgeous bouquet for our dinner hosts and said, “Welcome to the Neighbourhood.” But, I digress… let me tell you what you can expect for your lunch at Beatrice.
This was last week’s menu, but the menu will change based on the market produce available. There was so much choice! I finally settled on the grilled peach and fresh cheese antipasti followed by the grilled mackerel for my main. Both were great. Unfortunately, I had to run and didn’t stay for desert, but it looked divine. A deconstructed strawberry shortcake made with Quebec strawberries. All that for only $25? I know I’ll be back!
It wouldn’t have been such a lovely lunch without my lunch mates! Among them was PR darling Tuti Do in a very garden-to-table luncheon dress. I swear we didn’t call each other beforehand to coordinate outfits.
Thanks Ristorante Beatrice for the invite! Can’t wait to see what’s on the next lunch menu.
